THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA VIKING CLUB AWARDS Lydia Prieto Spirit Award |

In 2004 we honored Lydia Prieto by placing her name on the Southern California Viking Club Lydia Prieto Spirit Award to be awarded annually to a club member who demonstrates Vikings Spirit. A model for our club code, her spirit was one of dignity, pride and poise. She did not just talk about being a Vikings fan; she demonstrated it by the way she lived. Whether the Vikings won or lost, her attitude helped others catch the Vikings Spirit just by watching and listening to her. Criticisim was not there, encouragement was. Depression was not there, enthusiasm was. Inspired by her courteous, quiet, and respectful spirit we dedicate this annual to her memory and her Vikings Spirit. |
