Vikings 24 / Atlanta 3 The Vikings defense shut down the Falcons offense and scored twice. Adrian Peterson gets his first Vikings touchdown. The entire team played a great game. We go on the road against the Lions next week. Keep it going Vikings! Vikings / 49ers Game The game will be played in San Francisco on December 9th at 1:00pm. The seats are located in the upper level, north end zone, section 48, rows 17 to 20 (the same seats as last year). The tickets are $36.00 each and they are non-refundable. Please make your checks payable to SCVC. We must have your check by October 28th. Tickets must be picked up at Northwood Pizza on November 18th, 25th, or December 2nd. They will not be mailed to you. We have a limited amount of tickets. Viking Club Faithful Fan Contest We would like every club member to be at Northwood Pizza for all the games this season. Every club member who attends all Vikings games at Northwood Pizza will be entered in the contest. If you attend a Vikings game in person, present your ticket stub at the next Vikings game at Northwood Pizza and your name will be entered in the contest. If a club member recruits a new club member, he will receive an additional chance to win the contest. We will have a drawing after the first eight games for some very nice Vikings prizes. We will have another drawing after the last eight games carrying over the winners from the first eight games. The Atlanta game on September 9th is a free game for everyone and the Bears game on December 17th is another free chance. Club officers and their families are not eligible to win any of the prizes. Let's have a 100 percent turnout at Northwood Pizza. Board of Directors Meeting We will have our board meeting and election of officers on September 16th after the Lion's game. Kickoff is at 1:00pm. If you have anthing that you would like put on the agenda, please call Phil and let him know by September 14th. Note - Orlando Thomas We have some sad news to report. Former Viking Orlando Thomas has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease and is very ill. Members can send their support to: Orlando Thomas, PO Box 1034, Youngsville, LA 70592.
